Sanitary Sewers
Over the years we have been responsible for the design of hundreds of miles of sanitary sewers in previously
unsewered areas as well as new developments. We have been privileged to design several initial systems for
entire communities, including:
Equally large systems for parts of:
- Joliet
- Lockport
- Crest Hill
- Plainfield
We have developed Facility Plans for these and other communities. The Facility Plans define specifics of trunk and interceptor sewers
needed to accommodate growth of the Facility Planning Area which the communities are obligated to serve as growth dictates.
These major sewers are constructed as off-site sewers by the community or developer according to our plan and where possible as
part of new subdivision development at little or no direct cost to the government.
Our expertise in this area was recognized by invited participation in a select group of engineers which developed the initial
"Standard Specifications for Water and Sewer Main Construction in Illinois" which has become the accepted statewide standard.
